Storage of Records

How to store records at the Records Storage Center:
A request must be submitted using the Department of State's Total Recall system.
Contact FSU's Records Management Liaison Officer (RMLO), Melanie Welch, to gain access to this system to submit your requests.

Costs:
Records may be stored at the Records Storage Center for $0.25 per box per month.
They must be contained in standard size boxes which are available through the Records Storage Center for $1.20 per box (includes labels).

Need a record located at the Records Storage Center?
The Total Recall system also allows users to indicate what item they need. It will be pulled and returned to you, or you can pick the document up from the Records Storage Center.

Records Schedule & Retention
Once records have reached the required retention period, the Records Storage Center will notify the FSU RMLO. A Records Disposition Request will be forwarded to the responsible department for review. The department may then authorize the Records Storage Center to return or destroy the records.
